Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Design Sales Associate at our Oak Brook, IL location to deliver a design-forward, high-energy customer experience. You’ll guide clients through furniture and decor selections, leveraging your interior design knowledge to enhance purchases and overall satisfaction.

You will coach the Design team, support store operations, and manage design appointments across virtual, in-store, and in-home settings, using moodboards and space plans to boost store profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in interior design, furniture, or home goods.
• Ability to motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
• Understanding of design principles, spaces, fabrics, and trends.

Responsibilities

• Provide authentic, friendly customer experience aligned with Wayfair standards.
• Leverage design expertise to guide customers on fabric, finishes, and product choices.
• Coach Design Sales Advisors and support store operations including opening/closing and keyholder duties.
• Manage design appointments (virtual, in-store, in-home) and prepare design deliverables.
• Use design tools (moodboards, space plans, 2D/3D views) to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.
