Job summary

Wayfair is hiring a Retail Interior Design Consultant to bring clients’ visions to life both in-store and virtually across the country. You’ll combine interior design expertise with omni-channel salesmanship, guiding furniture selections from room layouts to finishes while building lasting relationships with customers.

This full-time role requires 30–40 hours weekly with evening and weekend availability, 2 days off, and a base pay of $24.50 per hour plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in interior design, architecture, or graphic design.
• Bachelor’s degree or design-related education is a plus.
• Experience with design tools and selling in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Own in-store customer pipeline and blend showroom with digital leads.
• Lead virtual and in-person design consultations to capture client needs.
• Create 2D/3D views, mood boards, and persuasive presentations.
• Guide customers from discovery to purchase and beyond.
• Balance showroom duties with digital workstreams and team collaboration.
• Drive sales by turning design concepts into actionable plans.
