Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Reading, PA seeks an experienced Integration Architect to drive end-to-end integration across IoT, data platforms, and enterprise APIs. You will partner with architects, developers, and platform teams to design reliable, scalable integrations that connect data sources to analytics and front-end experiences.

Responsibilities include designing REST, messaging, and event-driven solutions using Kafka, Apigee, and microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in integration development/architecture with hands-on depth.
• Proven experience with REST APIs, Kafka/Flink, and API gateways.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integration solutions using REST APIs and event streams.
• Apply standard patterns to ensure resilient and scalable integrations.
• Build reusable integration modules with Kafka, gRPC, GraphQL, and API gateways.
• Architect backend integration layers for data-driven web interfaces with UI data flow.
• Design streaming and batch pipelines and optimize schemas and event contracts.
• Support and scale Apigee adoption and govern API design.
• Develop producers/consumers with Kafka and promote event-driven architecture.
• Embed security by design and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor developers and lead cross-team integration practices.
