Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Integrated Solutions Release & Configuration Engineer to act as the subject matter expert for release and configuration management of integrated Digital Intelligence solutions. You will define, maintain, and improve processes, baselines, and tooling across software, interfaces, requirements, and deployment artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, CS, IS, Mathematics) or related field.
• 8+ years in release/configuration management or related tech discipline.
• Experience managing software and documentation baselines through an engineering lifecycle.
• Experience coordinating multi-product releases across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of configuration management standards (SAE EIA-649, ISO 10007, IEEE 828).
• Experience with lifecycle tools (DOORS Next, Polarion, Jama Connect).
• Experience with source control/build/release tools (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus).
• Experience with PLM/document control tools (Teamcenter, Windchill, SharePoint, ServiceNow).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and continuous improvement of release and configuration management for integrated solutions across multiple products.
• Define configuration identification and baselines for software, requirements, specs, interfaces, and deployment artifacts.
• Maintain traceability across requirements, versions, interfaces, change records, and deployment configurations.
• Facilitate change control and release readiness activities with impact, dependency, risk, and deployment considerations.
• Develop integrated release plans aligning delivery schedules and version compatibility across product teams.
• Manage release and distribution of specs, requirements, interfaces, architecture docs, verification artifacts, and release records.
• Partner with engineering, quality, cybersecurity, and testing to verify candidates meet requirements.
• Publish and maintain release manifests, BOMs, compatibility matrices, and deployment docs.
• Conduct configuration status accounting and audit prep to ensure baselines align with approvals.
• Support deployment readiness, release authorization, rollback planning, and post-release reconciliation.
• Analyze issues, drive root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor teams on CM/Release best practices and promote automation and standardization.
