Job summary

The Integrated Solutions Release & Configuration Engineer at Wabtec Corporation leads release planning, configuration integrity, and lifecycle governance across multiple digital intelligence solutions. You will partner with Product Management, Program Management, Systems Engineering, Software, Quality, Cybersecurity, DevOps, and Field Services to ensure traceability and operational readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
8+ years of experience in release management, configuration management, systems engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
Experience managing software and documentation baselines across an engineering lifecycle.
Coordinating complex, multi-product releases across cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of configuration management standards (SAE EIA-649, ISO 10007, IEEE 828).
Experience with CM/Lifecycle tools: DOORS Next, Polarion, Jama Connect; source control and release tools: Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins; PLM/tools: Teamcenter, Windchill, SharePoint, ServiceNow.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills with stakeholder influence.
Prefers experience in transportation, industrial automation, safety-critical systems, or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

Lead release and configuration management processes for integrated solutions across multiple products.
Establish and maintain configuration baselines for software, requirements, interfaces, and deployment artifacts.
Maintain traceability across requirements, versions, change records, and deployed configurations.
Coordinate change control and release readiness activities, evaluating technical impacts and risks.
Develop integrated release plans aligning schedules, dependencies, and deployment readiness.
Manage release distribution of specifications, definitions, architecture docs, and verification artifacts.
Partner with engineering, quality, cybersecurity, and testing to verify requirements compliance.
Publish release manifests, BOMs, compatibility matrices, and deployment documentation.
Conduct configuration status accounting, audit prep, and verification activities.
Support deployment readiness, release authorizations, rollback planning, and post-release reconciliation.
Analyze issues; lead root-cause investigations and drive corrective actions to improve quality.
Mentor teams on CM/Release best practices and promote automation and standardization.
