Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an Integrated Solutions Release & Configuration Engineer in the United States to lead release and configuration management across integrated Digital Intelligence solutions. You will establish baselines, maintain traceability, and coordinate rollout plans with engineering, quality, cybersecurity, and field services to ensure readiness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in release management, configuration management, systems engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience managing software and documentation baselines throughout an engineering lifecycle.
• Experience coordinating multi-product releases across cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of configuration management standards and practices (SAE EIA-649, ISO 10007, IEEE 828).
• Experience with lifecycle/tools such as DOORS Next, Polarion, Jama Connect; and source control/release tools like Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus.
• Experience with PLM/document control platforms like Teamcenter, Windchill, SharePoint, ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Preference for experience in regulated industries and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and continuous improvement of release and configuration management across multiple products and systems.
• Define configuration identifications and baselines for software, requirements, specifications, interfaces, and deployment artifacts.
• Maintain traceability across requirements, versions, changes, and deployment records.
• Coordinate release readiness activities, assess technical impacts, dependencies, and risks.
• Develop integrated release plans aligning delivery schedules and product team dependencies.
• Manage controlled release of specifications, interfaces, and deployment documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, cybersecurity, and testing teams to verify release candidates meet requirements.
• Publish release manifests, BOMs, and compatibility matrices.
• Conduct configuration status accounting and audit prep to ensure baselines remain approved.
• Support deployment readiness, rollback planning, post-release validation, and field change reconciliation.
• Lead root-cause analyses for release issues and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor teams on CM/Release best practices and promote automation.
