Job summary

Aligned Data Centers seeks a Senior Integrated Design Manager to provide cross‑project technical leadership across campuses. You will integrate schedule, cost, constructability, and system priorities earlier in design, while guiding IDM practices and mentoring other IDM leaders.

You will oversee design reviews, risk tracking, and coordination with construction teams to maintain momentum and align with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience managing complex design programs.
• Strong data center or technical design and construction background.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and mentor junior team members.
• Deep understanding of design coordination, system integration, cost drivers, and constructability.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Smartsheets, and design management platforms.
• Ability to travel out of home market, up to 25 percent.

Responsibilities

• Lead Integrated Design Management efforts across multiple projects or buildings within a campus or region.
• Drive early alignment on critical systems, design assumptions, and high‑cost scope elements.
• Maintain accountability of third‑party design teams for quality, schedule adherence, and readiness.
• Lead structured design reviews, decision-focused coordination meetings, and technical alignment discussions.
• Ensure consistent application of design gating and IDM requirements (CDE, CCL, bulletins, risk tracking).
• Coordinate development and maintenance of project risk registers from land enablement through turnover to Operations.
• Partner with Senior Construction Managers to align design with construction sequencing and execution needs.
• Support development of standardized design durations, milestones, and performance metrics.
