Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join engagement teams and deliver consulting services to the leading providers of life insurance, group benefits, and retirement. The BTG practice helps clients reimagine and modernize to create sustainable value across the insurance value chain.

You will lead platform delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor others while applying Agile/SAFe practices and adhering to security and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant working experience.
• 3+ years’ experience across Life, annuity, and Group benefits lines of insurance.
• Experience with delivery on policy administration platforms such as FAST (Verisk), FINEOS AdminSuite, ALIP, OIPA, DXC wmA/CyberLife, EXL LifePro, or comparable modern PAS.
• Working knowledge of the Life & Annuity value chain including product configuration, new business/underwriting, policy administration, servicing, and claims.
• Program, project, or workstream management experience in an on-shore/off-shore delivery model with clients and third-party vendors.
• Hands-on familiarity with platform configuration and integration, including APIs, middleware, and data migration.
• Excellent business, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong writing, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with speaking to larger audiences and executive level professionals.
• Demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong experience with Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of platform solutions aligned with objectives and architecture standards.
• Manage delivery planning, scope, dependencies, risks, issues, and milestones.
• Coordinate platform config, integration, and implementation across teams.
• Translate business requirements into delivery plans and roadmaps.
• Ensure alignment with architecture, security, regulatory, and operational goals.
• Monitor program health and drive risk mitigation and issue resolution.
• Coordinate onshore and offshore teams to deliver quality outcomes.
• Support governance forums with status updates and recommendations.
• Promote Agile/SAFe delivery, testing, release management, and DevOps practices.
• Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement.
