SiriusPoint seeks a Senior Products Counsel to develop and maintain compliant, commercially effective policy language across Legal, Underwriting, Claims, Compliance, and Product. Translate business objectives into precise policy language and guide regulatory developments and product initiatives.

You will draft and negotiate forms, review regulatory compliance, provide strategic counsel, and lead policy-form lifecycle with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Competenze

• JD degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state or territory.
• At least 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial experience drafting and interpreting insurance policies.
• Strong knowledge of insurance contract law, principles of policy construction, and U.S. insurance product regulation.
• Exceptional drafting, analytical, project-management, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across Underwriting, Claims, Compliance, Product, Actuarial, and Operations.
• Experience with Specialty commercial insurance and excess and surplus lines, with multistate form-filing experience preferred.

• Draft, revise, and negotiate insurance policies, coverage forms, endorsements, applications, and related product documents, with a focus on clear, consistent and commercial language.
• Translate underwriting strategy, risk appetite and business objectives into precise policy language.
• Review forms for clarity, legal sufficiency, and regulatory compliance, ensuring wording aligns with underwriting and claims practices.
• Provide strategic counsel to business partners and senior leaders on policy wording, coverage interpretation, product structure, and regulatory issues.
• Lead the policy-form lifecycle from development and internal approval through regulatory review and implementation.
• Monitor legal, regulatory, judicial, and market developments and recommend timely policy-form updates.
• Maintain drafting standards, clause libraries, form inventories, version control, and approval protocols.
• Provide legal support for complex coverage matters, disputes, audits, and develop training/guidance for stakeholders.
