Qualifications

• Twenty years of insurance experience.
• Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and set up new loss assignments timely per guidelines.
• Establish initial loss and expense reserves and monitor adequacy.
• Analyze policy language with loss facts to determine coverage.
• Draft detailed correspondence incl. rights reservations and disclosures.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys and regulators.
• Manage litigated claim files from inception to closure and plan action.
• Document all claim activity and strategies in notes.
• Lead outside vendors and monitor costs and outcomes.
• Present loss facts in roundtable discussions with stakeholders.
• Prepare Large Loss Reports and other detailed documents.
• Meet with management and other departments as needed.
