Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a talented attorney with experience in insurance and/or personal injury litigation to join our growing legal team in Chicago, IL. The Sr.

Insurance Litigation Counsel will manage a docket of litigated and pre-litigated matters and report to a Director, Insurance Litigation. You will lead discovery, coordinate with outside counsel, and help shape litigation strategy with a business‑minded approach.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department, handling insurance litigation, coverage issues, and/or pre-litigation disputes.
• Experience managing and developing legal teams.
• Ability to craft legal solutions balancing risk and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing docket of insurance litigation matters.
• Strategize scalable processes for handling insurance matters.
• Prepare and respond to discovery and dispositive motions.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation reporting and strategy.
• Manage outside counsel relationships, budgets, and work products.
