Job summary

PALMS Insurance, a NextEra Energy company, seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technology. You will gather requirements, craft user stories, and drive UAT, process design, and documentation across insurance operations.

You will work with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, support data conversion, and help ensure SOX compliance while contributing to ongoing system improvements and maintenance. This role emphasizes analytical rigor and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 4+ years

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for system changes or new implementations
• Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for UAT and development teams
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, including test case creation, execution coordination, and issue resolution
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and align deliverables with business objectives
• Assist with data conversion tasks, including mapping legacy data to the new system, identifying data gaps or inconsistencies, and supporting validation activities
• Interview stakeholders to create project scope documents
• Support IT SOX compliance and vendor/platform selections
• Assist with lights-on and maintenance efforts
