Job summary

Argo Group seeks a highly capable insurance coverage and bad faith litigation specialist to join our team and work in Omaha, Chicago, or New York office. This 100% in-office role reports to the SVP, Claims Legal and focuses on technical support for coverage disputes and major cases nationwide.

Ideal candidates have at least seven years of experience handling coverage issues, JD law degree, and strong negotiation and communication skills. Travel is minimal as needed.

Qualifications

• Seven years' experience handling insurance coverage issues and disputes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking.
• Familiarity with CGL, Environmental, Inland Marine, and other coverage lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigated and non-litigated insurance coverage and bad faith claims across lines.
• Conduct detailed investigations and advise management on strategy.
• Negotiate complex settlements and manage reserves and payments.
• Provide leadership and counsel on liability issues across all lines.
