Job summary

ORIX USA Group seeks an Insurance Compliance Senior Associate to oversee complex insurance compliance activities across a commercial loan servicing portfolio. You’ll mentor juniors, lead remediation of non-compliant items, and ensure coverage meets investor and regulatory requirements while managing deadlines.

You will serve as a subject matter expert on insurance requirements (Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA/HUD) and contribute to policy development. Hybrid in-office model with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in commercial insurance, loan servicing, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance coverages including Property, General Liability, Auto, Crime, Flood, Wind/Named Storm, and Earthquake.
• Strong understanding of commercial servicing insurance requirements and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to independently assess risk, identify compliance gaps, and drive remediation with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with servicing platforms and insurance tracking systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven workloads.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex insurance concepts into clear guidance.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal effectiveness across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform Insurance Compliance Associate-level responsibilities with high accuracy and independence.
• Conduct complex insurance policy compliance reviews and assess risk across a loan portfolio.
• Lead remediation of non-compliant items with borrowers, brokers, and agents.
• Manage vendor relationships and support workflow to meet SLAs.
• Monitor workloads to meet deadlines and renewal timelines.
• Escalate high-risk issues with clear recommendations for resolution.
• Draft and review waiver and exception requests with minimal oversight.
• Train, coach, and mentor junior team members to ensure consistency and growth.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements.
• Assist with audit readiness activities and respond to audits.
