Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced insurance claims Manager in the United States to lead complex engagements for property, business interruption, cyber, and other commercial losses. You will work with clients, brokers, insurers, and attorneys to drive claims from loss assessment to resolution.

Ideal candidates possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, risk management, insurance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance claims, forensic accounting, dispute advisory, consulting, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex commercial insurance claims or insurance-related consulting engagements.
• Strong understanding of property damage, business interruption, extra expense, cyber, builder's risk, or other commercial insurance claims.
• Experience supervising engagement teams and reviewing work products.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, CFE is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level stakeholders.
• Proven project management and client relationship management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
• Reliable transportation; driver's license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage analysis, preparation, and presentation of complex commercial insurance claims for policyholders.
• Lead engagement teams evaluating financial/operational impacts and developing claim methodologies.
• Coordinate responses to carrier information requests and manage engagement timelines and economics.
• Build client relationships and mentor junior team members while delivering high-quality work.
