Job summary

Hyundai Capital America (HCA) is seeking a Sr. Insurance Accounting Associate to support the insurance product portfolio and reinsurance activities. You will handle month-end close tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations, while coordinating with auditors and external program administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory/compliance activities.
• Proficiency with Excel; Tableau or similar reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare subledgers, general ledger entries, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and program administrators for audits and footnotes.
• Review dealer statements, intercompany tie outs, and cash activity for accuracy.
• Assist in FP&A and treasury tasks including cash forecasting and variance analysis.
• Identify process improvements and support automation projects.
