Job summary

Hyundai Capital America is seeking an Insurance Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial reporting for insurance products like Vehicle Service Contracts and GAP coverage. You will partner with internal teams and external counterparts to resolve issues and support growth.

The role requires 5-7 years of relevant experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Oracle ERP and BI tools. Hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including in insurance, reinsurance or financial services.
• Experience researching and applying U.S. GAAP to non-routine accounting matters.
• Experience using Oracle ERP and OBIEE; Tableau or SQL inquiries preferred.
• Automotive captive finance or related financial services experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to independently research accounting guidance.
• Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance accounting principles including ASC 944.
• Ability to analyze financial information, identify trends and discrepancies, and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to manage complex accounting processes within policies, controls, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close activities with cross-functional partners and external program administrator.
• Manage monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for assigned insurance entities.
• Coordinate with external program administrator and auditors to complete annual financial statements audit.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting supports.
• Support product launches, program enhancements, and system implementations from an accounting perspective.
• Monitor compliance with KSOX controls and strengthen internal processes.
