Job summary

Aecon is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Tubing Superintendent to lead field activities on the Samsung Semiconductor project in Taylor, Texas. You will oversee instrumentation installation, tubing fabrication, testing, and commissioning to meet project schedules and quality standards.

With 8–10+ years in instrumentation and tubing construction, you’ll manage foremen and craft labor, enforce safety, and collaborate across engineering, process, and project teams to deliver high‑purity

Qualifications

8–10+ years of instrumentation and tubing construction experience.
Experience as a superintendent or lead supervisor on industrial/semiconductor projects preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and control drawings.

Responsibilities

Supervise all on-site instrumentation and tubing construction activities.
Manage foremen, craft labor, and specialty subcontractors.
Oversee installation of instrumentation and control devices, high-purity tubing, valves, regulators, transmitters, analyzers, and manifolds.
Ensure tubing installation meets cleanliness, orbital welding, testing, and QA/QC standards.
Coordinate tubing fabrication, flushing, pressure testing, and documentation.
Work closely with project management, electrical, mechanical, and process teams.
Enforce site safety policies and conduct daily toolbox talks.
Review drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and specifications; resolve constructability issues.
Coordinate inspections, turnover packages, and commissioning support.
Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, and progress updates.
