Job summary

Ohio State University in Columbus seeks a Senior Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee coordination between the Operating Room and Central Sterile Supply, ensuring sterilized instruments are prepared and delivered aseptically for all surgeries. The role requires collaboration across multiple reprocessing sites to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or possess the G.E.D.
• At least two years of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST certification issued through IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification issued through CBSPD must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate case flow.
• Oversee assembly, sterilization and high-level disinfection of reprocessed surgical inventory.
• Procure, organize and standardize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
