Job summary

SHINE Technologies seeks a Senior Instrumentation & I&C Engineer to lead design, programming, and management of automated control systems for scientific instruments, including neutron generators and tritium handling systems. You will bridge project management with hands-on engineering and act as a technical expert and team leader.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in relevant roles preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge in I&C systems, hardware, software, theory of operation, testing, qualification, and plant start-ups.
• Ability to think strategically and take decisive action once the necessary information has been gathered.
• Ability to critically evaluate information and the boldness to ask questions when things don’t make sense.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical and operational pace for the group.
• Direct end-to-end delivery, coordinate cross-functional planning, and communicate with stakeholders, project managers, and leadership.
• Align software architecture with business strategy.
• Shape cross platform vision and select core technologies for the future.
• Mentorship of team members and strengthening team culture.
• Represent the technical team to the organization and ensure engineering efforts support business goals.
• Collaborate with managers to define and handle requirements.
• Design major features, optimize performance, review code, and tackle architectural hurdles.
