Job summary

SHINE Technologies in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to lead designing, programming, and managing automated control systems for scientific instruments, including neutron generators and tritium handling systems, and to integrate these into production facilities.

The role requires acting as a technical expert and team leader, bridging project management with hands-on engineering, mentoring staff, and aligning software architecture with business strategy

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in relevant roles preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge in I&C systems, hardware, software, theory of operation, testing, qualification, and plant start-ups.
• Ability to think strategically and take decisive action once the necessary information has been gathered.
• Ability to critically evaluate information and the boldness to ask questions when things don’t make sense.
