City of Houston is seeking an Instrument Technician for the Houston Water/Waste Water Operations division. The role requires installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing disinfection and de-chlorination instruments at the 2525 S. SGT Macario Garcia Drive location in Houston, TX.

Workdays are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with potential for changes to schedule. Minimum requirements include a year of experience in instrument repair and calibration and specialized post-secondary training

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in repair, calibration and installation of instruments and equipment.
• Specialized training beyond high school, up to 18 months, in relevant procedures.
• Vocational competence in mechanical or electronic equipment may be required.

Responsabilités

• Install, calibrate, maintain and repair various disinfection and de-chlorination instruments and equipment.
• Inspect and test instruments for proper operation.
• Maintain records of work orders, parts, and requisitions; perform nontechnical assignments as directed.
