Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in computer science, instrumentation or electronics or equivalent certification.
• Two years of experience in the design, installation, operation, and/or maintenance of a computerized data communications network or industrial control system.
• Valid Texas driver’s license may be required; Water/Wastewater license may be required depending on area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains, manages and upgrades existing electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe distribution of electricity.
• Repairs, calibrates, replaces and installs equipment and related hardware to maximize functionality.
• Prepares and updates records, logs and reports and responds to emergency calls after hours.
• Organizes schedules and monitors work assignments; researches product specifications.
• Inspects field locations to determine appropriate types and placement of electrical components for installation.
