Job summary

Miltenyi Biotec is seeking a Service Technician I to perform semi-routine maintenance and fault-finding on laboratory instruments in a dedicated in-house service center in Auburn, CA. You will review technical documents, perform troubleshooting, and file detailed reports.

The role involves handling flexible travel up to 10% and maintaining spare parts inventory, with a focus on quality control and customer communication.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• 2 years formalized technical/mechanical training or education (e.g. associate's degree, Military Occupational Specialty).
• 2 years of experience working in a technical / mechanical field.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault finding and repair activities on new, loaner, demo and trade show instruments.
• Support logistics for new, loaner, demo and trade show instruments (set-up, repair, maintenance, QC, pack-up, movement to/from warehouse).
• Independently perform QC activities on instruments as needed.
• Complete comprehensive written service reports and cases for assigned activities.
• Move new large instruments in/out of service center and crates; manage packing/unpacking.
