Job summary

HF Sinclair seeks an Instrument & Controls Project Manager to coordinate and execute multiple capital projects at the Woods Cross refinery. This role focuses on safety, environmental compliance, reliability, and profitability, supporting our plant, pipeline, and facility operations.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams from FEL through commissioning, develop execution plans, manage budgets from $100K to $5M, and drive project risk mitigation and change control while adhering to HF Sinclair

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience managing capital projects in a refinery or similar process industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred; other engineering degrees considered or sufficient related experience.
• Proficient in Front-End Loading, detail design and construction practices.
• Experience with project controls including cost control, forecasting and scheduling.
• Experience working with engineering contractors and bid evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple capital projects ranging from $100K to $5M.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for project status and performance.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary project teams from FEL through commissioning and startup.
• Develop and/or facilitate Project Execution Plans including engineering, procurement, construction, startup and commissioning activities.
• Identify and manage project risks; report cost and schedule performance throughout the project life cycle.
