Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Instructional Developer to design, develop, and maintain curriculum for the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering.

The role emphasizes content accuracy for Seabee Steelworkers and requires high-quality written communication. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, develop CBT and web-based training, and ensure quality through rigorous task analysis and training hierarchies.

Qualifications

• Requires US Navy Master Training Specialist or equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related discipline, or 2–5 years of instructional development experience.
• 15 years’ experience in the Seabee Steelworker rate.
• 10 years’ operational experience with the Naval Construction Force including officer and enlisted ratings and functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
• Design and develop instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements.
• Conduct analysis of training requirements and media requirements.
• Develop training objectives and test methods and design instructionally valid training materials.
• Ensure integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.
• Design and develop computer-based training, web-based training, and other technology-based learning solutions.
• Develop flow diagrams and storyboards.
• Design instructionally sound lessons in various delivery media.
• Collaborate with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
• Utilize CPM, LOM, or other NETC authoring tools as directed.
