Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Instructional Developer to transform technology into opportunity and lead instructional teams delivering virtual learning programs and in-person training for federal government clients.

You will design instructional approaches, mentor designers and developers, and develop content including SCORM-conformant materials and instructor guides, with strong ADDIE and accessibility focus. Hybrid role in Washington DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, e-learning, instructional design, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting online learning and other learning technologies.
• Experience leading instructional teams (preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Captivate, Rise 360, Storyline, or other web-based training software.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops instructional approaches and interactive courseware that meet training requirements.
• Leads and mentors teams of instructional designers, developers, and multimedia staff, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Participates in developing business strategies for new and existing learning products that meet government training needs.
• Engages with customer leadership, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to gather requirements and build innovative learning solutions and content.
• Develops Section 508 compliant web-based, instructor-led, and virtual training materials including SCORM-conformant content, instructor guides, student guides, and quick reference guides.
• Plans, develops, manages, and evaluates in-person, online, and hybrid training programs.
• Supports learning technology initiatives, including webinars, online courses, self-paced e-learning, and streaming video.
