Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Instructional Designer/Web-Based Training Developer to create and revise courses for adult learners using systematic design methods and the latest web-dev tools. This role resides in the SETO within the ESH Directorate.

Hybrid scheduling may apply after a probationary period, and funding is provided through September 30, 2029. The position emphasizes collaboration with subject matter experts to deliver engaging, compliant training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in educational/instructional design or related field.
• Experience with instructional technology models and adult learning theory.
• Experience with simulations, interactivity, and tutorials.
• Experience developing online or computer-based courses using various tools.
• Experience with Storyline/Articulate.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain complex information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate the ESH learning systems courses using instructional design principles.
• Create structured job-task analyses and extend course assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs to enhance curriculum.
• Design course goals, content, scripts, graphics, video, audio, tests, guides.
• Write narration scripts and sync audio to courses.
• Apply development software to publish web-based courses.
• Interpret regulations to determine training requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
