Job summary

Savvas Learning Company is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create, improve, and maintain online course content. You will lead collaboration with university faculty, subject matter experts, and vendors to design curricula, assessments, and multimedia materials that meet learning outcomes.

You will analyze student performance data, coordinate with content teams, and ensure content quality across platforms, CMS tools, and editing processes to deliver best-in-class educational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in educational technology, instructional design, communications, or related field.
• 3+ years of instructional design and development experience, preferably in education.
• Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead collaboratively with cross-functional teams to manage multiple projects.
• Possesses an eye for detail and is able to manifest ideas into a tangible form.
• Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Lucid Chart, Visio, and management tools.
• Knowledge of development processes to build digital products and lead process improvements.
• Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• General Instructional Design: manage design and development of new courses, define curriculum and outcomes.
• Perform data analysis on assessment results and student outcomes to inform improvements.
• Research and implement best practices for online learning.
• Research syllabi, curricula, and open-access materials to inform course design.
• Coordinate with instructors and vendors developing college-level curriculum and assessments.
• Consult on script writing, filming, and post-production content edits for lectures.
• Proofread and edit course materials for grammar, accuracy, and clarity.
• Organize asset/content files and maintain an orderly storage system.
• Master proprietary digital systems, including a CMS and web backend.
• Continually improve student experience and quality of education.
