Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) seeks an instructional designer for the Naval Training & Simulation team. The role supports the current and Next Generation Training Program to qualify navy personnel as nuclear propulsion plant operators, involving development, evaluation, and implementation of curriculum.

The position requires analyzing objectives, developing learning objectives and qualification requirements, revising manuals, and coordinating with Navy and multimedia staff to advance computer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 13 years relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree with 11 years relevant experience in Education, technical, engineering or science.
• Bachelor’s degree with 9 years relevant experience in Education, technical, engineering or science.
• Master’s degree with 7 years relevant experience in Education, technical, engineering or science.
• Doctorate degree with 3 years relevant experience in Education, technical, engineering or science.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program learning objectives to support curriculum optimization for the next generation training program.
• Apply operator experience and subject matter expertise to develop learning objectives and qualification requirements for the next generation training program.
• Assist with a major revision to all current Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program manuals.
• Coordinate with Navy and multimedia personnel to revise and optimize computer aided instruction and curriculum lesson plans.
