Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an instructional designer to join the Naval Training (NT) team. You will support the Next Generation Training Program and help develop, evaluate, and implement curriculum for naval propulsion personnel qualification.

The role emphasizes analyzing objectives, drafting learning outcomes, and revising training manuals with Navy and multimedia collaboration to meet program goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 13 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate’s degree in Education, technical, engineering or science with 11+ years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, technical, engineering or science with 9+ years.
  • Master’s degree in Education, technical, engineering or science with 7+ years.
  • Doctorate degree in Education, technical, engineering or science with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current training objectives to optimize curriculum for next generation training.
  • Develop learning objectives and qualification requirements from operator experience.
  • Assist with major revision of current Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program manuals.
  • Coordinate with Navy and multimedia staff to align computer-aided instruction with program goals.
