How can you make an impact?

McGraw-Hill Education, a leading provider of digital and print educational materials, seeks a creative, innovative, and strategic Senior Instructional Designer, Health for our Health programs. You will be a key member of a collaborative team of Instructional Designers, working closely with content, product management, UX, and creative media teams to develop digital tools, curriculum, and learning solutions in various formats used daily by educators and students. The role requires digital savvy, content expertise, and accountability for assembling high-quality content based on product requirements.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work in the United States. It is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 01/15/2027.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the instructional design team in collaborating with cross-functional peers to prototype, design, storyboard, and develop courses and digital curriculum assets (eBooks, interactives, simulations, games, virtual labs).
• Ensure project requirements, timelines, and goals are met through collaboration and leadership.
• Identify and resolve problems and risks in content development, engaging stakeholders as needed.
• Provide expertise on authoring tools, templates, and processes.
• Manage internal Instructional Designers responsible for vendor and freelancer guidelines, questions, and scheduling.
• Innovate and improve processes and digital integration, identifying efficiencies.
• Troubleshoot and follow up on technical issues in authoring tools and platforms.
• Incorporate accessibility and ensure compliance with best practices during product development.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in digital content development, including teaching and learning materials.
• Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and budgets.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional meetings.
• Experience with authoring tools, LMS, and content management systems.
• Ability to create animated and interactive content.
• Background in educational publishing or EdTech preferred.
• Accessibility experience preferred.
• Background in Health preferred.
