McGraw-Hill Education, a leading provider of digital and print educational materials, seeks a creative, innovative, and strategic Senior Instructional Designer, Health for our Health programs. You will be a key member of a collaborative team of Instructional Designers, working closely with content, product management, UX, and creative media teams. Your role involves creating robust digital tools, curricula, and learning solutions used daily by millions of educators and students. The Senior Instructional Designer, Health, is a digital-savvy content and curriculum expert responsible for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements.

Position Details

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work in the United States. It is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 01/15/2027.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the instructional design team in collaborating with cross-functional peers to prototype, design, storyboard, and develop courses and digital curriculum assets (eBooks, interactives, simulations, games, virtual labs).
2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements, project timelines, and goals are met.
3. Identify and resolve problems and risks in content development, engaging stakeholders as needed.
4. Provide leadership on authoring tools, templates, and processes.
5. Manage internal Instructional Designers responsible for vendor and freelancer guidelines, questions, and scheduling.
6. Innovate and improve processes and digital integration in products, identifying efficiencies.
7. Work with teams to troubleshoot and follow up on technical issues in authoring tools and platforms.
8. Ensure accessibility, understanding compliance criteria, and incorporating accessibility best practices during product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in digital content development, including teaching and learning materials.
• Experience managing multiple projects within tight deadlines and budgets.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional meetings.
• Experience with authoring tools, LMS, and content management systems.
• Ability to create and visualize animated and interactive content.
• Background in educational publishing or EdTech preferred.
• Accessibility experience preferred.
• Background in Health preferred.
