Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Training Coordinator/Instructional Designer to transform complex geospatial intelligence capabilities into engaging learning experiences for an Intelligence Community customer. In this role, you will lead design, development, and delivery of training across CONUS/OCONUS, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with mission objectives.

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training & Development, or related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 6–10 years).
• 8+ years in training coordination or instructional design in GEOINT or similar technical environments.
• Proven expertise in designing and developing training programs using instructional design methodologies.
• Extensive experience with eLearning development tools such as Adobe Captivate or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms (Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams).
• Familiarity with GEOINT systems (e.g., ArcGIS, Google Earth) and understanding of how they support customer missions.
• Experience leading training initiatives and managing complex training projects in technical environments.
• Excellent communication skills for clear, engaging training content.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of advanced training programs aligned with customer needs and mission objectives.
• Manage end-to-end training processes from needs analysis to delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Create and deliver customized training materials (CONUS/OCONUS IL courses, e-learning, job aids, user docs).
• Act as a subject matter expert in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and resources for in-person and virtual sessions.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, technical teams, and SMEs to define measurable learning objectives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, testing, and metrics to drive improvements.
• Provide recommendations on LMS and virtual learning platforms for delivery and tracking.
• Ensure compliance with customer policies on training, documentation, and security.
• Stay current on industry trends in instructional design and geospatial technologies.
