Job summary

Team Carney, Inc. seeks a Senior Instructional Designer / Consultant to lead the modernization of the USPTO training curriculum. You will analyze 125 courses, partner with SMEs to update pedagogy, and design the curriculum blueprint for a transformative learning program.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a master's in instructional design or related field, and familiarity with government contracting. This is a fully remote position, with preference for candidates in the DC/MD/VA region.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or Curriculum.
• Experience revising high-volume curriculums (>40 courses preferred).
• Expert grasp of modern learning models, gamification, and AI-assisted instruction.
• Consultation experience for potential legal content.
• Experience in classroom learning environments and consultation on classroom technology requirements.
• Working in a Government contracting environment.
• Recent USPTO and Patent program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead 'Training Consultation for Program Revision' and modernize curriculum.
• Analyze 125 existing courses and coordinate with SMEs.
• Design the overall curriculum blueprint for the program.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with federal requirements.
