Team Carney, Inc. is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer / Consultant to modernize the USPTO training curriculum. The role focuses on training consultation for program revision, analyzing a large course catalog, and designing a comprehensive curriculum blueprint.

The position is fully remote with a preference for candidates in the DC/MD/VA area, and is contingent on contract award. Requires 6+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience revising high-volume curriculums (preferably >40 courses).
• Expert grasp of modern learning models and pedagogy.
• Consultation experience for potential legal content.
• Experience in classroom learning environments and classroom technology requirements.
• Experience working in Government contracting environments.
• Recent USPTO and Patent program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Training Consultation for Program Revision and modernization of the USPTO training curriculum.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Senior Instructional Designer / Consultant will be a core member of a dynamic team responsible for the comprehensive modernization of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) training curriculum. You will lead "Training Consultation for Program Revision"; analyze the 125 existing courses; collaborate with SMEs to modernize pedagogy; and design the overall curriculum blueprint.

What You Bring to the Table - Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
