Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to lead e-learning design and content development across HR Talent Development & Learning. The role emphasizes creating engaging, learner-centered experiences using multiple modalities, including instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced formats.

The ideal candidate combines instructional design, content creation, and storytelling with project management to deliver high-quality learning solutions across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years design and development experience focused on e-learning.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, and Articulate Storyline.
• Strong visual design, storytelling, and multimedia development skills.
• Experience in healthcare or large organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops self-paced trainings using sound instructional design principles.
• Develops and programs SCORM compliant e-learning courses using leading authoring tools.
• Creates custom graphics and multimedia assets (videos, animations, knowledge checks).
• Manages projects from inception to implementation and collaborates with stakeholders.
• Trains SMEs in e-learning design methods and delivers instructor-led sessions.
