Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to lead complex learning experiences, using AI-enabled design and performance-based methods. You will work with consultants, leaders, SMEs and stakeholders from concept through evaluation to improve workforce capability and organizational performance.

The role emphasizes accessibility, learner experience, rapid prototyping, and scalable solutions across modalities, including digital, ILT and blended formats.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in instructional design and development.
• Bachelor’s degree or an additional three years of experience in Instructional Design in lieu of a degree.
• Experience designing and developing learning solutions across multiple modalities and leading complex projects.
• Experience using generative AI or AI-enabled tools to support research, ideation, design, content development, prototyping, and quality review.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning, learner experience, accessibility, and performance-based design.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex design projects from concept through implementation with minimal direction.
• Translate business, performance, and learning needs into effective strategies and experiences.
• Apply AI-enabled practices while balancing human judgment and instructional design quality.
• Collaborate with consultants, SMEs, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Establish evaluation approaches to assess learner experience, knowledge, behavior, and business impact.
