Job summary

Superstition High School in Mesa, Arizona seeks an Instructional Assistant Special Education II to support certified teachers in monitoring and instructing students with IEPs. The role includes assisting with academic tasks, daily living activities and health-related care while maintaining classroom safety and organization.

You will help implement behavior plans, collect data on goals, and may perform clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire OR pass the ParaPro Test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and maintenance of classroom.
• Assist in the collection of data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Implement positive behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Monitor and support student transitions and safety across campus.
