Job summary

C2ES seeks a Senior Institutional Giving Officer to lead a defined portfolio of institutional funders and secure six- to seven-figure gifts. You will work with senior staff to craft compelling proposals and reports while stewarding relationships with foundations, corporations, and government funders.

This is a hybrid Washington, DC–based position with international funding interests. You will partner with leadership to shape fundraising strategy, manage budgets, and drive growth in support of

Qualifications

• BA and minimum of 15 years of progressive fundraising experience with major funders.
• Proven ability to secure and manage multiple six to seven-figure opportunities
• Extensive knowledge of climate and clean energy funding landscape
• Excellent editing and writing skills
• Experience with a CRM; Salesforce preferred
• Ability to collaborate with finance to build budgets and review reports
• Demonstrated prioritization across multiple priorities and deadlines
• Team player with flexibility and strong organizational skills
• Experience fundraising for policy-related work domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of a defined institutional giving portfolio including six- to seven-figure prospects.
• Define fundraising goals, budgets, and projections and chart strategies to meet them.
• Collaborate with program and leadership to develop long-term fundraising strategies and cultivation plans.
• Prepare timely, compelling proposals, reports, and stewardship communications.
• Manage all aspects of the proposal process, including budgets and submissions.
• Develop materials to prepare leadership for donor meetings and translate program impact for funders.
