Job summary

The LEGO Group in Virginia is seeking an Installation Technician to install, commission, and maintain production equipment while troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will read manuals and drawings and collaborate with Global R&D and Process Engineers to drive equipment improvements.

Eligible candidates have 5+ years of hands-on experience and strong troubleshooting skills, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training and validation,

Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred).
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation tools (RSLogix 5000, RSLinx, FactoryTalk View).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to share knowledge and support team development.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Install and decommission manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to perform maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Collaborate with Global R&D teams and Process Engineers to identify and implement equipment improvements.
  • Work both independently and with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance Technicians and Engineers.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore functionality in a timely manner.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Attend daily operational meetings and communicate project updates.
