Job summary

The LEGO Group in Richmond, Virginia is seeking an Installation Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation and supporting equipment reliability. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read manuals and diagrams, and collaborate with Global R&D and Process Engineers to identify improvements.

Travel for training and equipment validation may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
• Strong experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred).
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Install and decommission manufacturing and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to perform maintenance and installation tasks.
• Collaborate with Global R&D teams and Process Engineers to identify and implement equipment improvements.
• Work both independently and with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance Technicians and Engineers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore functionality in a timely manner.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify issues and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
• Attend daily operational meetings and communicate project updates.
