Job summary

AbbVie in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Data Security Engineer (Insider Risk Management – Engineering) for a hybrid role (onsite 3 days a week/2 days WFH/remote). You will lead DLP content creation, implement preventative controls, and analyze DLP events to improve use cases across a global organization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Information Security and 5+ years in security engineering, with experience in Splunk and data loss technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security or related field.
• 5+ years managing and supporting networking concepts, data loss technologies and enterprise engineering related to security solutions.
• Experience evaluating and configuring data loss prevention (DLP) tools.
• Administrating and managing data classification, DLP policy configuration within a global organization.
• Integrating technology solutions for security event correlation using Splunk.
• Insider risk data mapping and remediation of asset data in cloud & network storage locations.

Responsibilities

• Create new DLP content to aid in protection of company IP.
• Configure preventative controls for email, print, web and removable media data movement actions.
• Analyze DLP events and escalations to customize and improve existing use cases.
• Implement dashboards, metrics and reports associated with data loss actions identified.
• Focus on implementation of data at rest solution to identify unprotected unstructured data within corporate ecosystem.
