Job summary

AbbVie Information Security seeks a Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst to lead data protection across endpoint, network, and cloud, with a focus on insider risk mitigation.

The role is remote nationwide in the U.S. and requires expertise with Microsoft Purview DLP and Splunk, plus strong analytical and investigative skills to develop policies, investigations, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal and HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field with 6 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP including policy creation, rule tuning, and alert investigation across endpoint, email, and cloud.
• Demonstrated Splunk experience, including writing SPL searches, dashboards and correlation logic.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with a track record of independently handling complex cases.
• Solid understanding of data classification and regulatory drivers (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS) and data exfiltration methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex and sensitive data loss investigations from initial alert through documentation and closure.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for the DLP team, providing guidance and second-level review on advanced cases.
• Design, build, test, and tune DLP policies and detection rules in Microsoft Purview.
• Develop and maintain Splunk searches, correlation logic, dashboards, and reports to support investigations.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Compliance, and Privacy on investigations and prepare written findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to playbooks and runbooks.
