Job summary

RRD in Charlotte, NC is hiring for a second shift equipment operator responsible for running statement rendering machinery and supporting production efficiency. You will handle setup, monitoring, and basic adjustments to keep systems running and meet daily output.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year manufacturing experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to stand for long periods. You will work with technicians and may mentor less experienced operators.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and at least 1+years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, repetitive hand motion required and able to lift / push up to 50lbs.
• Requires excellent knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment
• Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment
• 3+ years of equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates statement rendering equipment to process statements, letters, notices, etc.
• Duties may include; capturing, sorting and/or distributing documents using machinery to meet requirements, setting up equipment such as printer, roll feed, inserter, monitoring quality of product, preparing and organizing work for subsequent processing through machines.
• Maintain all equipment and systems, performing processing according to service levels,
• Perform complex maintenance and repairs, identifying and resolving routine to very complex problems.
• Works under limited supervision.
• Acts as senior operator for one or more shifts, giving feedback and support to less senior staff.
• Exercises judgment within guidelines and back up work director.
• May provide basic reporting of department statistics.
• Considered a subject matter expert on multiple, complex machines and/or system applications.
• Works directly with technical vendors / technicians to identify and resolve equipment problems.
• May be required to participate and support testing for application installs.
