Job summary

RR Donnelley in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Operator to run statement rendering machinery, perform setup, and maintain production quality.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and at least 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, repetitive hand motion required and able to lift / push up to 50lbs.
• Requires excellent knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment
• Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment
• 3+ years of equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate statement rendering equipment to process statements, letters, notices, etc.
• Capture, sort and/or distribute documents using machinery to meet requirements, setting up equipment such as printer, roll feed, inserter, monitoring quality of product.
• Maintain all equipment and systems, performing processing according to service levels.
• Perform complex maintenance and repairs, identifying and resolving routine to very complex problems.
• Act as senior operator for one or more shifts, giving feedback and support to less senior staff.
• Exercise judgment within guidelines and back up work director.
• May provide basic reporting of department statistics.
• Considered a subject matter expert on multiple, complex machines and/or system applications.
• Work directly with technical vendors / technicians to identify and resolve equipment problems.
• May be required to participate and support testing for application installs.

• Duties may include; capturing, sorting and/or distributing documents using machinery to meet requirements, setting up equipment such as printer, roll feed, inserter, monitoring quality of product, preparing and organizing work for subsequent processing through machines,
• Maintainall equipment and systems, performing processing according to service levels,

Thesalary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $17.00 - $23.80 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs.Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
