Job summary

Douglas County’s Community Mental Health Center seeks a supervisory clinician to oversee inpatient Clinical Care Coordinators and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory guidelines. The role includes evaluating staff, coordinating psychosocial assessments and developing collaborative treatment plans with an interdisciplinary team.

You will engage with clients, families, and partner agencies, maintain comprehensive records, and participate in ongoing education and committee work.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• LMHP license in Nebraska required.
• CPR certification required on hire and maintained.
• CPI training within six months of hire.
• Two years in human or social services field.
• Six months in a lead or supervisory role.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Equivalent education/experience substitutions allowed year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned staff including hiring, orienting, training, scheduling, coaching and evaluations.
• Respond to inquiries and maintain effective relationships with clients and agencies.
• Ensure compliance with Civil Service Rules, policies and regulations.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and coordinate admissions.
• Develop and modify treatment plans with an interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions and crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinate transitions to community resources and assist families.
• Prepare and maintain medical records and reports.
• Attend CMHC management and physician staff meetings; participate in committees.
• Maintain professional knowledge and participate in continuing education.
• Possess ability to restrain consumers during crisis and handle high-stress situations.
