Job summary

The role supports remote work for TX, AR, WI and FL and requires advanced ICD-10-CM/PCS coding knowledge, HCC, and CPT/HCPCS modifiers. The candidate must hold RHIT/RHIA/CCS or CIC certifications, with 3 years of acute care coding experience and a strong understanding of reimbursement principles.

Qualifications

• Must have high proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and abstracting.
• Qualifications must include appropriate coding certifications and knowledge of reimbursement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnosis and procedures codes for inpatient encounters.
• Maintain 95% accuracy on quality reviews and targeted productivity.
• Coach other coders on ICD-10-CM/PCS conventions and guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to obtain missing information and ensure complete documentation.
