Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Coder 4 for inpatient coding. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, abstract clinical data, and support documentation queries to ensure accurate reimbursement and quality reporting.

The role involves collaborating with physicians and the CDI team, maintaining regulatory knowledge, and contributing to improvements in the revenue cycle’s coding processes.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AS in HIM required.
• Minimum of 3 years inpatient coding experience.
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC or CIC certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in HIM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract inpatient data using ICD-10-CM/PCS per guidelines.
• Query providers to clarify documentation when needed.
• Ensure accurate POA and HAC reporting.
• Collaborate with CDI to resolve documentation issues.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
