Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years facility medical coding/billing experience.
• Knowledge of 3M and Oracle Cerner.
• Familiar with Official Coding Guidelines and CMS guidelines.
• Strong medical terminology, anatomy & physiology.
• Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Code using CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS per guidelines.
• Determine first and secondary diagnoses and surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity and Patient Financial Services.
• Respond to educational feedback and maintain quality/production standards.
• Stay updated on documentation to maximize coding specificity.
